Prince Edward County is Canada’s fastest growing wine region. Currently over 525 acres are under vine. At the current rate of growth of approximately 125 new acres being planted per year, Prince Edward County will be the second largest viticultural area in Ontario by mid decade. By 2005 Prince Edward County will have eight to 10 wineries open to the public.
